The Los Angeles County America’s Job Center maintains programming to support justice involved individuals returning to the workforce. The Innovative Employment Solutions (INVEST) program offers opportunities and breakthroughs that help respond to the barriers to employment that typically affect formerly incarcerated individuals. They work specifically with those on probation in LA County, with a goal to increase access to: employment, education, training and support services. Participants in the program receive individualized career advice, job training, retention services and support services. The CRDF Career Center offers women in the Century Regional Detention Facility access to work development programming before and after release, as well as additional support services during reentry. The Prison2Employment initiative connects currently incarcerated individuals with potential employers to help them transition to independent living quickly and effectively after release.
