Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center provides high quality health care on a sliding scale to residents of Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1974 as Alaska’s first community health service, they have grown to become one of Alaska’s largest and most comprehensive primary care medical and dental practices. Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center is committed to providing integrated, compassionate care to patients of all ages, regardless of ability to pay. They offer basic medical care, dental care, behavioral health, nutrition counseling, pharmaceutical options, lab and x-ray services, all under one roof. Transportation, Telehealth and language support services are also available to qualifying clients.They accept both private and state funded insurance, and offer a sliding scale discount program to eligible individuals. Patients that are new to Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center are required to complete their new patient packet forms and, if applicable, the sliding fee discount application prior to scheduling their first appointment. The Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility (ATEF) helps prepare participants to transition from incarceration to re-entry. It is a residential facility that provides comprehensive behavioral, vocational and educational services to prepare incarcerated people to enter the Work Release Program.
