Broken Shackle Ranch is a Christian-based residential program for young men ages 16 & over. Their program is committed to helping at-risk young men heal & mature emotionally, academically, spiritually, and vocationally. They help students see the need for change in their lives, be open to the therapeutic, spiritual, and educational opportunities they offer, and be willing to apply lessons learned to their lives. Criteria for admission is that the youth must be at least 16 years of age, must have a current psychological evaluation (within the last 2 years) and is willing to transform their life. Parents who are interested in placing their youth privately can do so for a cost of approx. $4,000 per month per student. It could be an extreme expense to families, but you can attempt to have your youth placed through the state of Georgia via the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) or the Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS).
