Friends Outside is a nonprofit organization that provides research-based services to incarcerated adults and youth during reentry. They also serve individuals who are at risk for incarceration or reincarceration. Their programs are faith-based with Quaker values. For individuals in San Joaquin County Jail, Friends Outside provides case management, parenting courses, conflict resolution training and anger management counseling. The Friends and Family Services Center maintains a warrant reduction to help mitigate charges without incarceration, as well as job development program and family support group for those with incarcerated loved ones. Friends Outside also offers pre-release services and conflict resolution courses for incarcerated individuals reentering the community to promote safe, healthy family reunification.
