Description

The Kanawha Valley Fellowship is a non-profit organization that supports men who are recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. Since their inception in 1967, Kanawha Valley Fellowship has helped recovering addicts who are serious about their sobriety and willing to make the necessary changes to achieve a real life change. KVF believes in building life skills and positive habits through education and structured accountability. Their mission is to go beyond just transitional housing through education, counseling and positive recovery efforts. Kanawha Valley Fellowship services help enact the mission of providing traditional transitional housing. KVF is a highly structured 6-12 month program where residents are required find a sponsor, attend 5 NA/AA meetings per week, as well as individual and group therapy weekly. Residents are also required to pay rent, help with chores and volunteer in the community. Kanawha Valley Fellowship provides individuals the opportunity to begin a new life by helping them eliminate the patterns associated with alcoholism and drug addiction.
