National Helping Individuals with arrest and conviction records Reenter through Employment (H.I.R.E.) Network is a program run by the Legal Action Center (LAC). The goal of the National H.I.R.E. Network is to increase the number and quality of job opportunities available to people with arrest and conviction records by changing public policies, employment practices, and public opinion. They advocate at both the federal and state levels, by providing technical assistance and training, and by promoting collaboration between individuals directly affected by the criminal legal system, advocates, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers. National H.I.R.E. Network aims to promote the successful reintegration of people coming home from prison, increase employment opportunities available to people who are struggling to successfully reintegrate and remain crime-free, encourage employers to make non-biased hirings, including setting aside the practice of not hiring people with records without any determination.
