The Louisiana Chapel Foundation believes that all people should have access to the teachings of the bible. Since their inception, the foundation has constructed 14 chapels and renewed 2 others inside Louisiana prisons in order to provide sanctuary services to incarcerated people. They work in partnership with the Governor of Louisiana, the Louisiana Department of Corrections, local wardens and prison chaplains. Louisiana Chapel Foundation helps facilitate programs designed to improve faith and personal character. Their mission to provide a safe and dedicated space for incarcerated people to grow in their faith and participate in faith-based healing. Through their programs, Louisiana Chapel Foundation hopes that incarcerated people will improve their lives, reduce prison violence, and foster stronger relationships with family members.
