Project New Start (PNS) is a faith-based nonprofit organization providing community support services in the Newport, Arkansas area. Since their inception in 2003, Project New Start has based their ministry on Matthew 25, which tell us to “clothe the naked, feed the hungry, take in the stranger and visit those who are sick and in prison.” This scripture allows them to remained focused on being a place of recovery where all men, women, and children can reach their full potential through Jesus Christ. PNS also provides jail ministry services by taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are incarcerated, and reaching out to those in the Jackson County Detention Center on a weekly basis. Other support services include a community volunteer group, homes for mothers and their children, low-income chemical-free apartments, and recovery homes for both men and women.
