SE Works is an organization that provides a variety of services to individuals in Oregon who face barriers to securing permanent employment. They serve the greater Portland area out of the Metro-SE Center. Job seekers are eligible for assistance locating and applying for available opportunities, as well as educational and professional training opportunities to help them qualify for future job opportunities. SE Works credential immigrants to work in the United States, assists with resume building and practices interviewing with participants. Formerly incarcerated individuals also have access to the New Start Reentry Resource Center, which focuses on the unique needs of individuals reintegrating into the community after incarceration. They can also participate in pre-release programs and reentry employment programs to ensure that they have gainful employment when they exit the corrections system.
