Ten Toes In is a community based organization that works with domestic violence survivors and individuals returning to the community. Their mission is to act as a domestic violence mentorship and prevention program, providing sisterhood and support to those who have experienced domestic violence, as well as individuals incarcerated for domestic violence. Staff and volunteers believe in the restorative power of mentorship, and their goal is to ensure that individuals who are returning to the community have access to the support systems they need to have healthy, stable relationships with loved ones. Ten Toes In offers three separate sisterhood mentorship programs, each serving a different area, with a goal of ensuring that women survivors of domestic violence never feel like they are isolated in their experiences. The organization also delivers a 6-month curriculum inside some correctional facilities to prepare incarcerated individuals for intimate relationships outside prison.
