Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services
The Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) is a program run by the Central Texas Aging, Disability & Veterans Resource Center that helps people with physical or mental disabilities prepare for, find, or keep a job. DARS provides vocational rehabilitative services such as Employment Assessing and Planning, Counseling to Assist with Obtaining or Maintain Employment, Training in Job Skills and Behavioral Skills, Hearing Exams, Hearing Aids and Other Communications, Equipment, and Interpreter Services, Treatment and/or Therapy to Lessen Employment Obstacles, Rehabilitation Technology such as Artificial Limbs, etc and Job Placement Assistance.
Alabama Non-Violent Offenders Organization (ANVOO) helps individuals with a non-violent criminal record. Their mission is to assists those seeking to regain their place in society by connecting them to resources and services to reach their full potential as productive members of their families.
