Thresholds provides services and resources for persons with serious mental illnesses and substance use disorders in Illinois. They work with many populations, including youth and young adults, veterans, young mothers, deaf, and individuals experiencing homelessness, among others. More specifically, Thresholds offers a Justice Program that provides key transitional services to people with serious mental illnesses and substance use conditions who are exiting the justice system. Their staff engage inmates in local facilities upon, or leading up to, discharge and provide support through the process of community reintegration. These supportive reintegration services address housing, medical, psychiatric, substance use, legal, employment, education, and public benefit needs. To receive service or benefit from one of Thresholds’ programs, How to Justice encourages you to contact them through the provided links.
