Thrive is a workforce program committed to helping individuals who face significant barriers to entering or reentering the workforce. The mission of the organization is to assist community members on their pathway to self-sufficiency and independent living by giving them the necessary tools to maintain quality employment. Their comprehensive approach to preparing individuals includes mentorship and guidance to heal trauma, addressing generational poverty with actionable solutions, assisting with job training and job placement. Most of those who exit the program are able to break the cycle of incarceration and live independently. The program itself involves three components: Workshops, Employment Coaching, and Employer Partner. Participants begin by attending workshops that provide the necessary skills and training, then more into employment coaching, where they learn how to seek and obtain long term employment. Employer partners work with Thrive to select individuals who are well-suited for their respective businesses and give them a fresh chance at life.
